if you are looking for 90 minutes of mindless braincandy, 'Penelope' is the cute escape from reality! it's a modern day fairytale with the stereotypical hollywood equation: pretty people, fabulous backdrops, and a happy ending...i was not smitten with james mc avoy until this movie- his character makes him cuter (than he actually is). i didn't love this movie as much as 'Enchanted' or 'Hairspray' but i still left the theater with a smile :)
